
KOWLOON, Hong Kong — NRNA Hong Kong Limited hosted a combined celebration of the 76th National Day of the People’s Republic of China and Nepal’s Dashain–Tihar festivals on Sunday, 19 October 2025 at India Club, Jordan, drawing members of the Nepali diaspora, cultural practitioners, and community leaders.
The programmer, hosted by Miss Pratibha Gurung, opened with traditional music and dance, and proceeded to formal proceedings that recognized leadership, talent, and social service.

During the ceremony HKNF Chairman Mr. On behalf of the Non-Resident Nepali Association Hong Kong National Coordination Council, I, President Jainti Gurung, extend my sincere greetings to all Nepali residents and individuals of Nepali origin living in Hong Kong. Suhang and NRNA patron Mr. Durga Gurung presented appointment certificates to the newly elected committee members of NRNA Hong Kong. President Jainti Gurung and Vice‑President Narendra Raj Gurung later handed over certificates to newly appointed organisational advisers.
In a programmer segment recognizing cultural achievement, President Ms. Jainti Gurung and Vice‑President Mr. Narendra Raj Gurung honoured Miss Rita Gurung, winner of Mero Dance Universe Session 2. The organization also recognized social activists Mrs. Padm Gurung and Miss Khushi Gurung for their community contributions.
Special guests delivered messages underscoring collaboration and youth engagement. Nepal Airlines Finance Manager Mr Naresh Yadav and the President of the Federation of Children and Youth Entrepreneurial Arts Development offered greeting remarks highlighting the role of youth, entrepreneurship, and cultural exchange.

NRNA Hong Kong NCC General Secretary Mr Bhabin Limbu announced the launch of a World Literature Competition focused on eco‑poetry, inviting writers and young people to submit environmentally themed verse for international consideration.

The evening featured traditional music and dance and closed with reaffirmations of NRNA Hong Kong’s commitment to cultural preservation, community service and initiatives that promote creative expression among the Nepali diasporas.
